A leading and well-established N.I. organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function. This is a key senior appointment, offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy, drive performance, and lead a high-performing finance team within a growing business. Reporting to the CFO, you will take full responsibility for financial management, reporting, and control, while providing strategic insight to support business decision-making. You will lead and develop a large finance team, ensuring best-in-class processes and a strong control environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and meaningful variance analysis
- Lead the production of annual financial statements and ensure compliance with all statutory and tax requirements
- Maintain strong balance sheet control and robust reconciliation processes
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing clear insight into business performance
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic planning, cost optimisation, and growth initiatives
- Manage, mentor, and develop a finance team of 10, fostering a high-performance culture
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, governance frameworks, and audit processes
- Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting, and operational processes
The Person
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge and audit experience
- Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience (ERP exposure desirable)
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence at senior level
