A leading Northern Ireland organisation has engaged us exclusively to appoint an experienced and commercially focussed Finance Director to join its Leadership Team and help shape the next chapter of the company’s growth journey.

Operating within a dynamic and innovative market, the business delivers complex, large-scale projects and has made significant investment in recent years to position itself for ambitious expansion plans, both through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Reporting directly to the CEO and holding a seat at board level, this appointment offers the opportunity to influence major strategic decisions while providing leadership across the wider business.

This position will suit an accomplished Finance Director with strong commercial acumen, strategic capability and a solid operational understanding of how finance can drive business performance.

Working in partnership with the executive team, you will take ownership of the finance function while contributing to operational excellence, enhancing reporting and systems, and supporting long-term growth objectives across the organisation.

  • The package is flexible depending on experience, however the expected range includes:
  • Annual bonus opportunity of 15%

  • Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute strategic financial direction as a member of both the board and senior leadership team.
  • Lead the budgeting cycle, forecasting processes and longer‑term financial planning activities.
  • Provide commercial analysis and financial insight to support strategic initiatives and key business decisions.
  • Maintain robust financial controls, governance frameworks, compliance standards and risk management processes.
  • Oversee cash management, working capital performance and relationships with banking partners.
  • Support investment appraisals, capital allocation decisions and business expansion projects.
  • Collaborate closely with operational and manufacturing teams to improve financial performance and reporting quality.
  • Enhance costing methodologies, inventory management processes, work‑in‑progress visibility and margin reporting.
  • Champion ERP enhancements and broader digital transformation initiatives.
  • Build, develop and mentor high‑performing teams across finance and IT functions.
  • Candidate Profile
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Demonstrated success in a senior finance leadership role.
  • Strong background in commercial and operational finance.
  • Experience operating within executive leadership or board‑level environments.
  • Exposure to ERP implementation, optimisation and transformation projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A practical, collaborative and hands‑on leadership style.
