I’m working in partnership with a market-leading events and conference organisation to appoint a Business Development Manager focused on the Association space. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to step into a role with real commercial impact – owning and delivering conference sales across national and international markets, while contributing to a multi‑million‑pound revenue target. You’ll be joining a highly regarded organisation at the centre of a major events destination, playing a key role in attracting large‑scale conferences that drive significant economic impact.

The role:

You’ll take full responsibility for developing and converting a pipeline of Association business – winning new clients, growing existing accounts and securing multi‑year deals. This is a commercially focused role where success is measured by your ability to identify opportunities, build relationships and close complex, high‑value deals.

Experience/skillset required:

  • A proven track record in sales and client management (ideally 3+ years)
  • Someone who is commercially sharp and target‑driven
  • Strong relationship builder – comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and delivering against revenue targets
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
