Artemis Human Capital are recruiting for a Business Development Manager for a forward-thinking, innovative renewable energy business going through unrivalled growth. Operating across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and Great Britain, the organisation delivers Solar PV, battery storage, and heat pump solutions, with a primary focus on commercial clients - from small office installations to large-scale, complex industrial solar projects.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities across commercial Solar PV. Reporting into senior leadership, the role will involve close collaboration with project management, internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery from sale through to completion.
- Generate new leads and business opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, and proactive outreach.
- Identify, negotiate, and close deals in line with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Manage and grow accounts secured, focusing on long-term value and repeat business.
- Produce accurate weekly and monthly reports covering sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
- Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to build brand awareness.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years’ sales experience within a growth sector, ideally renewable energy or engineering/manufacturing.
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, including an understanding of financial performance and profitability.
- A customer-centric approach with a strong focus on relationship building.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working effectively with delivery, product, and pre-sales teams.
