Senior Accounts Assistant Belfast (Hybrid) We are delighted to be partnering with a leading premium brand builder and distributor to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant on a 1-year fixed term contract for their finance team based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to join a fast-paced and commercially focused business. Working as part of a small finance team, youll play a key role across the day-to-day finance function, with responsibility for sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, reconciliations, reporting and supporting the wider finance team. Key Responsibilities Support the management of the sales ledger, including credit control, customer receipts, EDI, direct debits and customer statements Maintain the stock purchase ledger, including processing purchase orders, recording shipping and receipt details and tracking supplier and intercompany movements Process and code non-stock purchase invoices, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained Maintain the purchase order system and assist with monthly payment runs Deal with supplier queries and resolve invoice and account discrepancies Prepare monthly recharges for submission to relevant brand owners Produce daily and month-end reports, including sales, stock, debtors and depletion reports Complete regular account reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies Assist with invoice financing declarations, payments and drawdowns to support effective cash flow management Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts Who We're Looking For Minimum 3 years' experience within an accounts or finance environment Strong experience across sales ledger, purchase ledger and general finance duties Previous experience with credit control, reconciliations and invoice processing Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial systems Part-qualified or IATI/ATI trained would be advantageous Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment What's On Offer Competitive salary Hybrid working Opportunity to join an established and growing business Varied role covering multiple areas of the finance function Supportive and collaborative finance team Excellent exposure to a fast-paced commercial environment If youre an experienced Accounts Assistant or Finance professional with strong sales ledger, purchase ledger and reconciliation experience and are looking for your next opportunity, get in touch with Diarmuid for a confidential discussion.
