Artemis Human Capital has recently partnered with a well-established and growing distribution business operating across the UK and Ireland, currently seeking a Project Accountant to support a major finance integration and ERP implementation programme. This role will play a key part in delivering a new ERP system, ensuring financial data, processes, and controls are accurately designed, tested, and implemented. Working closely with finance teams, project stakeholders, and external partners, you'll be involved throughout the full lifecycle from system build through to go-live. The business has a strong track record, a supportive and down to earth culture, and is investing heavily in modernising its finance function making it an excellent time to come on board.

The Role:

  • Support the implementation of a new ERP system in line with the integrated group finance model
  • Gather finance requirements, map end-to-end processes, and support system configuration
  • Lead and assist with data migration, reconciliation, and sign-off activities
  • Maintain financial oversight of the programme, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Prepare project reports and financial insights for senior stakeholders
  • Support testing, training, go-live, and early life support
  • Act as a key link between finance teams across multiple locations, supporting change and adoption

The Person:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience in project accounting, finance transformation, or ERP implementation
  • Strong understanding of core finance processes and month-end close
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder communication
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with data migration or process improvement
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment
  • Strong problem-solver with a collaborative approach
