We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join a busy and collaborative finance team in the heart of Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys combining management reporting, financial analysis, operational finance and stakeholder support within a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations across the business. The role also includes responsibility for billing activities and providing cross-team finance support during periods of peak workload or absence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare management accounts, variance analysis and regular financial reporting
  • Analyse financial performance and provide clear insights to stakeholders
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Manage billing processes and maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare journals, reconciliations and accounting entries
  • Support payroll, VAT, audit and compliance activities as required
  • Assist with payments, reconciliations, credit control and wider finance operations
  • Provide cross-team finance support during periods of absence or peak workload
  • Contribute to process improvements and finance-related projects
  • Ensure deadlines, controls and service standards are consistently maintained

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous management accounting and reporting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel and finance systems experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities independently
