A well-established and highly regarded commercial law firm in Belfast is seeking to appoint a Head of Family & Matrimonial to lead and grow its specialist family law practice. This is a senior strategic appointment offering the opportunity to shape and develop a high-quality private family law offering within a progressive and ambitious firm.
The Role
- Lead and develop the Family & Matrimonial team
- Drive the strategic direction and growth of the practice
- Manage a varied caseload of high-quality private family matters
- Play an active role within the wider leadership team
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management
The role offers genuine autonomy, influence at senior level, and the platform to further build an already reputable practice.
Candidate Profile
- Be an experienced Family & Matrimonial solicitor (Senior Associate, Legal Director or Partner level)
- Have strong technical expertise across divorce, financial remedies, private children matters, and ancillary relief
- Demonstrate leadership capability and commercial awareness
- Be confident in business development and growing a practice
- Have strong client management skills and a reputation for delivering high-quality advice
A following would be advantageous but is not essential for the right individual with a clear growth plan.
