We are delighted to be partnering with a leading construction and civil engineering business to recruit a Trainee Accountant for their finance team based on the outskirts of Belfast. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a small finance team, offering a varied role across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the purchase ledger and process supplier invoices
- Process monthly payment runs and deal with supplier queries
- Manage purchase orders and liaise with internal budget holders
- Complete stock and intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare daily and month-end financial reports
- Assist with intercompany recharges and invoice financing
- CIS and RCT Returns
- Support month-end management accounts and annual statutory accounts
Who We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Experience across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Sage experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Construction background needed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
