A well‑established, Northern Ireland–headquartered organisation with a strong market presence is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its finance team. Known for long‑term stability and a collaborative culture, the business offers exposure to group level finance and genuine opportunities to influence process improvement and strategic decision‑making.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering financial reporting, supporting statutory and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement across finance operations.
The Role:- Lead the month-end close, producing accurate management accounts and reporting packs for senior stakeholders
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and statutory accounting processes
- Maintain strong balance sheet control through review of reconciliations and financial analysis
- Lead the external audit process and act as a key contact for auditors and Revenue authorities
- Drive process improvement initiatives, including systems, automation, and reporting enhancements
- Support and mentor junior finance team members and contribute to cross‑functional projects
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
- Proven ability to improve processes and manage change
- Highly organised, analytical, and detail‑focused
- Confident communicator with a proactive, self‑motivated approach
