We’re partnering with a scaling, product-led business to hire a Commercial Accountant for a newly created role within a growing finance function. This position is designed for someone who wants more than a traditional accounting remit. You’ll be embedded in the business, using financial insight to support commercial decisions, guide planning, and help shape how the organisation grows. It’s a hands-on role with real influence, operating across finance, operations, and leadership.
Joining at an early stage in the finance journey, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen financial visibility, improve planning, and build reporting that supports better decision-making as the business scales. You’ll have ownership from day one, with the opportunity to broaden your remit and impact as the company continues to grow.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Producing accurate and insightful monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and balance sheet ownership
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and forward-looking planning activity alongside senior leaders
- Developing and maintaining commercial and revenue reporting, including recurring income, retention, margins, and unit economics
- Acting as a finance partner to non-finance teams, providing analysis, challenge, and commercial support
- Delivering clear, concise reporting that helps leadership make informed decisions quickly
- Overseeing and improving day-to-day finance processes such as billing, payables, receivables, and cash flow
- Identifying opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve finance processes as scale increases
- Supporting statutory requirements including audit, tax, and compliance
- Building financial models to support pricing, growth initiatives, and strategic projects
- Contributing to the design of a finance function that is commercially focused, pragmatic, and fit for growth
About You
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, technology or SaaS environment
- Comfortable operating in a changing environment where not everything is fully defined
- Commercially astute, with experience using financial insight to influence outcomes
- Strong communicator, able to work effectively with stakeholders across the business
- Confident switching between detailed work and big-picture thinking
