Accounts Technician Belfast We are delighted to be partnering with an established healthcare business to recruit an Accounts Technician for their finance team based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a broad range of finance experience within a professional and fast-paced environment. You'll support the day-to-day finance function across purchase ledger, invoicing, reconciliations, credit control, insurance administration and financial data processing. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive team and will gain exposure to management accounts, month-end and year-end processes while developing their wider finance skills. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity offering excellent benefits and genuine long-term development.
Key Responsibilities
Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately using Xero Upload and maintain monthly supplier invoices and financial records Complete supplier account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Raise customer invoices and maintain accurate billing records Reconcile pathology invoices and resolve any discrepancies Assist with credit control, including following up outstanding balances and allocating payments Support insurance claims administration and reconciliation Assist with insurance collections, including excess payments and reporting Support the preparation of quarterly management accounts Assist with month-end, year-end and audit processes Maintain petty cash records and complete regular reconciliations Ensure finance data is accurate, complete and up to date Provide wider administrative and finance support as required Who We're Looking For Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Finance Administrator or similar role Strong experience working with financial data and high-volume transactional processes Good understanding of invoice processing, reconciliations and finance administration Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software; Xero experience would be advantageous Experience within healthcare, dental, medical or insurance environments would be advantageous AAT, IATI or equivalent study would be advantageous, although not essential What's On Offer Competitive salary Full-time or part-time hours available 4 weeks' holiday plus 10 statutory days (full-time basis) Opportunity to purchase up to 3 additional days' annual leave Additional annual leave accrued with length of service Complimentary dental care Discounted medical care Access to complimentary CPD Team building events If you're an experienced finance professional who enjoys working with detailed financial data and is looking to develop your career within an established healthcare environment, get in touch with Diarmuid for a confidential discussion.
