Artemis Human Capital is exclusively partnering with a growing, well-structured business to recruit an Assistant Accountant ready to take the next step towards Management Accounts. This role is designed for someone who wants more than transactional exposure, offering the chance to get properly involved in month-end, reporting and financial analysis, while still maintaining a strong grounding in core finance operations.

You will work closely with an experienced Head of Finance, gaining hands-on exposure and the support needed to develop into a more senior accounting role.

This is a broad, progressive role where you will gradually take on more responsibility across financial reporting and analysis. You will split your time between supporting month-end and maintaining strong control across day-to-day finance processes, giving you the full picture of how a finance function operates.

Typical duties include:

  • Developing Your Month-End Experience
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Post journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with variance analysis and reporting packs
  • Support audit and year-end processes

  • Oversee supplier invoices, reconciliations
