An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant to join a growing and well-established business that is growing through acquisition. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role within the group finance function, taking ownership of monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities while providing valuable commercial insight to support operational decision-making. This position is ideally suited to a qualified accountant seeking greater responsibility and exposure to senior stakeholders, with a potential pathway towards Finance Manager in the future. Working closely with both finance and operational teams, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reporting packs
- Production of profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and cash flow reports
- Delivering detailed variance analysis with meaningful commentary
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Assisting with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises
- Monitoring financial performance and highlighting key risks and opportunities
- Analysing operational costs, margins and business performance metrics
- Supporting operational teams with financial information and commercial insight
- Supporting process improvement initiatives across the finance function
- Assisting with audit preparation and compliance requirements
- Maintaining strong financial controls and governance procedures
The Person
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Previous experience within industry and accounts preparation
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience
