Working in partnership with a leading retail opticians and audiology business, founded in 1928. This independent, family-owned and family-run company believes its people are the key to its success and longevity, and has grown to over 35 stores, each special and unique.
We are searching for a qualified Dispensing Optician to join a vibrant team within the Winchester practice.
Part-time - 3 days per week:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday
The Role
Dispensing Opticians are an integral part of each branch, ensuring that each store has adequate and correct stock whilst liaising with each customer on a one-to-one basis regarding their latest prescription.
Requirements
This is an ideal position for a fully qualified Dispensing Optician with strong communication skills, searching for a brand that values quality over quantity. Complete customer satisfaction is the aim, meaning our Dispensing Opticians need to be engaging, motivated and able to work with customers on a consultative basis.
You will be responsible for:
- Dispensing eyewear to patients, providing expert advice and guidance on optical products
- Conducting comprehensive eye tests and assessments to determine patients' visual needs
- Assisting patients in selecting appropriate frames, lenses, and other optical products
- Taking accurate measurements and ensuring proper fittings for eyewear
- Carrying out adjustments and repairs on eyeglasses
- Offering advice and recommendations on contact lenses and other visual aids
- Providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or queries
- Ensuring that stock is maintained and accurate against purchase orders
- Working with customers on a consultative basis regarding available stock
