Shift Patterns Available: Monday to Friday: The shift will start at 6:00am and finish when the route is complete.

About: GR Employment Ltd is looking for a Drivers Mate in the Ise Valley Industrial Estate, the Wellingborough area, for a well-established organisation, unloading parcels from heavy goods vehicles. We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking consistent work with a bit of flexibility built in.

Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading goods, including heavy lifting, while ensuring items are handled safely
  • Supporting the driver during deliveries, including navigation and delivery paperwork
  • Ensuring goods are secure by checking items against delivery sheets and securing the load
  • Interacting with customers, confirming delivery times, obtaining signatures, and placing items inside premises when required
  • Assisting with route planning, diversions, and efficient delivery scheduling
  • Carrying out minor vehicle checks, keeping the cab tidy, and assisting with basic maintenance
  • Handling returns in line with company procedures
  • Following all health and safety guidelines, including correct manual handling

No prior experience is necessary, as training will be provided. Own transport to and from work.
