That is why we need sharp-eyed, fast-moving team players to seal, sleeve, and box our delicious dishes to perfection. If you love working in a buzzing team, take pride in the little details, and want every meal to leave with a wow, we want you on board!
The Role
- Accuracy & Presentation: Seal and box meals, ensuring all products meet legal weight requirements and maintain high presentation standards.
- Quality Control: Verify freezing processes, operate X-ray and metal detection equipment, and ensure all packaging and labelling meet the required specifications.
- Documentation: Complete all paperwork accurately and in accordance with legal and company requirements.
- Team Contribution: Work effectively as part of a small team to minimise product damage and wastage and maintain efficient production.
- Physical Requirements: This is a physically demanding role. You will be required to stand for extended periods and regularly push and pull trolleys to and from the blast freezer. The role may also involve lifting and moving products and equipment as required.
- Working in Cold Conditions: The role involves working in a chilled/cold environment, and you will be required to spend some time working inside a freezer or blast-freezer area. You will not be working in the freezer continuously, but you should be comfortable working in cold temperatures for periods of time.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): All required PPE will be provided by the company, including appropriate protective clothing and equipment for working in cold conditions. You will be expected to wear the required PPE at all times when working in designated areas.
Good to Have
- Prior experience in food manufacturing or catering (NVQ Level 2 is a bonus).
- A background in team leadership is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
