Are you looking for a hands-on role in a welcoming food production environment? We are recruiting Casual Kitchen Prep Assistants to help prepare premium Christmas products, including centrepieces, turkeys, ducks, and geese, for one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year.
Based at Sittingbourne Business Park, Cook Kitchen is located just a 10-minute walk from Sittingbourne train station, making it easily accessible for those travelling by public transport.
The Role
As a Kitchen Prep Assistant, you'll play a vital role in preparing products to the highest standards. Duties include:
- Carefully cutting, weighing, and measuring ingredients following clear instructions.
- Preparing meat, poultry, and seafood by cutting and processing ready for cooking.
- Preparing Christmas centrepieces, turkeys, ducks, and geese.
- Chopping using kitchen knives safely and confidently.
- Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, utensils, and dishes.
- Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Supporting the wider kitchen team with a variety of preparation tasks.
What We are Looking For
- Comfortable handling and working with raw meat products.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Confident using kitchen knives and food preparation equipment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Previous kitchen, catering, food production, or food manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential.
Training & Induction
You will be required to attend the following:
- Friday 26th of June, Induction. Approximately 3-4 hours (fully paid).
- Monday 29th June - Health & Safety in Food manufacturing and Food Hygiene standards.
- Tuesday 30th June - Technical role training Food manufacturing processes.
- Wednesday 1st July – start date.
Following successful completion of training, you will continue working regular shifts as part of our production team.
