Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at J & J Systems UK Limited. This pivotal role is based in the UK and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing top-tier IT solutions. This role is about management, coordination and consistency. Technical experience is helpful but not essential. The Operations Manager will play a key part in ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction, leading the technical team, managing workflow and maintaining service standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technical team, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and the day to day operation runs smoothly.
- Monitor and manage workflow, prioritising tasks and scheduling work in coordination with the workshop.
- Work alongside our Finance & Resource Director to facilitate the HR function for the technical team.
- Ensure KPIs and service targets are met using internal performance data.
- Maintain consistent customer service levels and reduce escalations.
- Enforce agreed processes and operational standards consistently, including compliance requirements.
- Manage team performance, set clear expectations and address issues in a structured, factual & fair way.
- Visit clients occasionally to address service issues or review service quality.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in an IT or related environment.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams.
- Knowledge of human resources practices.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to develop strategic operational plans.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Prior experience in an IT service provider is preferred but not essential.
