About the Client

Our client is an independent, family-run hearing care provider based in Lewisham, built within the very community they live in and where they are raising their family. Their vision was simple: to deliver a “John Lewis level” of customer care and satisfaction, with a genuine focus on patient experience over sales. Since opening, they have created an environment where clinicians are given the time and autonomy to truly care for their patients, ensuring each individual gets the most from their hearing journey. They take pride in a non-pressured, ethical approach, offering honest advice, free trials, and long-term patient support rather than hard selling.

Their philosophy centres on:

  • Taking time to help patients gradually adapt to hearing aids.
  • Improving quality of life for both patients and their families.
  • Building long-term relationships within the local community.
  • Delivering care without pressure or sales-driven targets.

The Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and patient-focused Microsuction / Ear Wax Removal Specialist to join their growing clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who values quality over quantity, and wants to work in a setting where patient care is prioritised above all else.

  • Conduct otoscopy and thorough patient assessments.
  • Identify contraindications and refer where appropriate.
  • Provide clear aftercare advice and patient education.
  • Provide aftercares and follow ups.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and clinical standards.
  • Deliver a high standard of patient care in line with the clinic’s ethos.
  • Support the wider audiology team where required.

Requirements

  • Qualified in microsuction and/or ear irrigation.
  • Experience in a clinical or audiology setting.
  • Competent in otoscopy and recognising ear conditions.
  • Strong understanding of patient safety and clinical governance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently within a clinic environment.

What the Client is Looking For

  • A clinician who shares their patient-first, non-sales-driven approach.
  • Someone who values spending quality time with each patient.
  • A compassionate and empathetic professional.
  • A team player who fits well within a close-knit, community-focused business.

What is on Offer

  • Supportive, family-run working environment.
  • Strong focus on work-life balance.
  • No pressure selling or aggressive targets.
  • Opportunity to work in a respected local clinic with an excellent reputation.
  • Ongoing professional development.

Why Join This Clinic?
