About:

This is a really exciting time for Thanet District Council’s Tenant and Leaseholder Services, as we embark on a £40 million refurbishment and retrofit project for our tower blocks. This project will improve both safety and energy efficiency as well as the environment for 406 households. It is a highly complex project due to the nature of the buildings, using multiple funding streams and requiring compliance with the new Building Safety Act.

We are looking for a motivated Resident Liaison Officer to join our Tower Block Retrofit and Refurbishment Team. This role is central to ensuring residents are fully supported and informed throughout the delivery of vital improvement works. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, acting as the first point of contact for residents during the project. They will also need experience in customer service, housing, or community engagement. Residents must be kept at the heart of this project, there will be much disruption as we commence this work and new technologies are being installed. Purposeful engagement with the residents is necessary to ensure all voices are heard throughout the process. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a meaningful role in delivering safer, more sustainable homes in our community.
