Thanet District Council is currently recruiting for a Refuse Driver/Loader to join its Cleansing Services department. As a key member of the team you will be responsible for collecting refuse, recyclables and green waste throughout Thanet, providing an important and highly visible service to residents on behalf of the council.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Successful applicants must hold a full and current Class 2 driving licence and have passed their CPC qualification and have a valid Tacho drivers card. Applicants will also be expected to demonstrate strong team leadership skills and have extensive knowledge of operating waste collection vehicles and other associated equipment. The role will require a certain level of fitness as large periods of time will be spent collecting and returning residents bins to and from their property.
