Thanet District Council's parking department is looking for a supervisor to join and have responsibility for the Civil Enforcement Officer team. This exciting opportunity would deal with the daily supervision of the officers that work across the district issuing penalty charge notices. The role will require some evening and weekend work.

Main Duties:

  • Day to day supervision of the Civil Enforcement Officers including regular 1:1s, preparation of rotas, health and safety, risk assessments, general contract support with all parking contracts and managing performance.

As a candidate you should have an understanding of parking regulations and legislation and have had proven experience of supervising staff, managing budgets and contracts. Preparing reports and experience of assessing and managing risk. The department is a busy working environment and the ideal candidate must be able to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously. This can involve answering emails, attending meetings, collaborating with colleagues, and managing deadlines, all while maintaining a high level of productivity. Communication is key and we regularly deal with members of the public, members and other stakeholders.
