About:
GR Employment Ltd is recruiting for a Core Route Driver on behalf of one of our customers in Maidstone, Panattoni Park area. We are looking for reliable, professional, and customer-focused drivers to join a busy and fast-paced courier operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, delivering excellent service, and working as part of a supportive team.
As a Core Route Driver, you will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments within an assigned geographical area. You will play a key role in maintaining high service standards while representing the company in a professional manner. You must demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet customer expectations. While you will be assigned a specific geographical route, flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be required to cover alternative routes to support business needs. You will also be responsible for scanning shipments and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met. The role requires the ability to make sound decisions and perform effectively under pressure.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license
- Experience in a multi-drop courier role is preferred but not required
- Security Training will be given when required
- For insurance purposes, you must be at least 21 years old and have no more than 9 penalty points on your driving licence within the last 3 years
Security checks:
As this role is based within a major UK airport, all applicants will be required to complete pre-employment screening in accordance with aviation security regulations. This process will include:
- Applicants will need to provide a 5-year history check or equivalent documentation to meet regulatory/security requirements
- A UK criminal record check
