Are you passionate about helping research and innovation thrive through strategic support and partnership development? We are looking for an experienced and proactive Funding & Awards Manager to join the Business Development, Research & Innovation (BDRI) directorate. Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues, you’ll play a key role in supporting research and innovation activity, driving income growth, and helping deliver the University’s strategic ambitions.

As Funding & Awards Manager you can expect to be involved in:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of research and innovation strategies across the University.
  • Providing expert advice on funding opportunities and supporting high-quality grant applications.
  • Leading and managing pre- and post-award processes to support successful research activity.
  • Building strong relationships with academic, business and external funding partners.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Experience working within research, innovation or business development in a higher education or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of research funding processes and partnership development.
  • Experience managing teams and supporting collaborative ways of working.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
