Our client is seeking an Electro Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The role is offered as a permanent, full-time position, fully office based.
Within the role of Electro Mechanical Design Engineer, you will produce conceptual designs for new products.
Salary: Disclosed on initial phone call β depending on skills and experience. Location: Harlow, Essex β no hybrid working. Hours: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

The Electro Mechanical Design Engineer role involves the design and development of new and existing products in accordance with the Company\'s engineering standards and customer requirements.
The position also requires detailed design information including drawings and manufacturing information to be produced and/or maintained.
Skills required
- Relevant degree or HNC/D in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Experience in electro-mechanical design of electrical distribution equipment
- Proficiency in 2D and/or 3D CAD software (Auto CAD, Onshape or similar)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Technically competent while being commercially aware
- Enjoy problem-solving
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written
- Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Mechanical design and development of sheet metal enclosures and structural items
- Electrical design and development of Low Voltage power distribution systems
- Creating detailed drawings using either 2D or 3D CAD
- Producing detailed bills of materials and manufacturing instructions
- Working in accordance with the company\'s engineering standards
- Working in accordance with the company\'s ISO 9001 quality assurance system
- Working collaboratively with production, quality assurance, and technical sales teams
- Producing comprehensive project and manufacturing documentation
- Providing technical support during manufacturing
