The Manufacturing Electronics Engineer will work as part of an engineering team to ensure effective production across the factory floor, working to improve processes and develop lean practices. Responsibilities will include:
- Working with other Engineers and Technicians, and reporting to the Engineering Team
- Assisting with NPIs
- Implementing new processes on the factory floor
- Supporting technicians with fault diagnosis and repair of production equipment
- Carrying out updates to controlled drawings and documentation
- Introducing LEAN improvements within production to improve productivity and reduce waste
- Liaising with external contractors to coordinate planned maintenance or repairs
- Performing calibration tasks on production equipment and maintaining accurate records
- Training production staff on new or updated processes or equipment
- Assisting with shop floor layout change activities and new equipment installations
- Creating programmes for production equipment
- Designing and installing jigs and fixtures
- Researching and installing new production equipment
- Performing takt time analysis of cells to set and improve KPIs across production
- Designing and installing new production cells
- Developing automation solutions
- Running pre-production activities
- Reviewing and approving concessions
Requirements:
- Degree level qualification in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- Experience within engineering / production environment
- Experience in PCBA manufacture, design and testing
- Automation systems
- Solid foundation in electronics down to the component level
Desirable:
- Knowledge of lean processes and process development
- CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Test software (LabView)
