This is a temporary position providing relief cover for couriers. However, for the right candidate, this role could lead to a permanent placement.
About: GR Employment Ltd is looking for a Courier Driver on behalf of one of our clients in Basildon. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers. This role is essential in upholding the company's values and ethos, delivering service with speed, passion, and a can-do attitude. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure. As a Courier Driver, you will be measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time-definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative of the company, you are expected to carry out all tasks with a strong customer-focused approach. You must demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet customer expectations. While you will be assigned a specific geographical route, flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be required to cover alternative routes to support business needs.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license
- Security Training will be given when required
- Minimum 21 years old, no more than 9 penalty points within the last 3 years
- Security checks: As this role is based within a major UK airport, all applicants will be required to complete pre-employment screening including a 5-year history check and UK criminal record check.
