Logistics Coordinator – International Road
PSM Recruitment are seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join a busy international logistics team based in Coventry.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with logistics or transport planning experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, time-critical environment, coordinating deliveries across Europe and beyond.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 9-hour rotational day shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate time-critical international road transport movements
- Work closely with the Team Leader to ensure efficient daily operations
- Monitor transport schedules and communicate any delays, providing suitable solutions to customers
- Maintain a good understanding of European driving regulations and restrictions that may impact transport planning
- Build and maintain strong relationships with transport carriers and suppliers
- Identify and report any gaps in carrier coverage
- Record and escalation carrier performance issues in line with company procedures
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous logistics, transport or freight forwarding experience is desirable
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Additional European language skills would be advantageous but are not essential
