GR Employment Ltd is recruiting for a Courier Driver on behalf of one of our customers in London, The TeaShed, Elizabeth Industrial Estate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers. This role is essential in upholding the company’s values and ethos, delivering service with speed, passion, and a can-do attitude. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure. Responsibilities
- As a Courier Driver, you will be measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time-definite deliveries and collections.
- As a frontline representative of the company, you are expected to carry out all tasks with a strong customer-focused approach.
- You must demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet customer expectations.
- While you will be assigned a specific geographical route, flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be required to cover alternative routes to support business needs.
- You will also be responsible for scanning shipments and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met.
- The role requires the ability to make sound decisions and perform effectively under pressure.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving license.
- Experience in a multi-drop courier role is preferred but not required.
- Security Training will be given when required.
- For insurance purposes, you must be at least 21 years old and have no more than 9 penalty points on your driving licence within the last 3 years.
Security checks
As this role is based within a major UK airport, all applicants will be required to complete pre-employment screening in accordance with aviation security regulations. This process will include:
- Applicants will need to provide a 5-year history check or equivalent documentation to meet regulatory/security requirements.
- A UK criminal record check.
Shift pattern
Monday to Friday: Starting time 8am to finish. Break: 30-minute unpaid break.
Hourly Rate: £16.17 Per Hour.
Shift Premium: Extra £2.80 per hour after 7.00 pm.
Saturday Premium: Extra £1.22 per hour.
Sunday Premium: Extra £2.27 per hour.
