About the role
Are you an experienced Dispensing Optician searching for a new and exciting opportunity in management? We are working with an independent, family-owned company who believe their people are the key to their success, and are actively searching for a Branch Manager to join their team in Christchurch.
Job responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and management of the optical branch
- Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve branch targets
- Manage and train a team of optical staff
- Schedule and coordinate staff shifts and assignments
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
- Generate sales reports and analyse data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other branches and departments to optimise overall business performance
Requirements
- Qualified Dispensing Optician, fully registered with the GOC
- Previous experience in a Branch Manager or senior optical leadership role
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive branch performance and achieve business targets
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Confident in building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Able to plan effectively, set realistic business goals and deliver against agreed objectives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised and proactive, able to manage day-to-day branch operations
