About
As an independent, family run business, you will not be restricted to particular hearing aid manufacturers, meaning that you can select the hearing aids most appropriate for your patients. You will be provided with a full range of equipment, enabling you to adapt each consultation to the patient in front of you. This includes Video Otoscopy, Tympanometry, Speech Testing, REMs, Microsuction and Irrigation equipment. With the ongoing support of a clinical care team, you’ll be given the opportunity to undertake further training and development within your role to be able to offer the best level of care to your patients and to personally develop your own skills. The client prioritises great patient care and everything that you need to create it. You will be given more time with your patients, the autonomy to manage your diary and the support and training required for you to continue to develop and grow.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough hearing assessments to determine the nature and extent of patients' hearing loss.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on hearing solutions, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive listening devices.
- Select, fit, and dispense appropriate hearing aids to patients, ensuring proper functionality and comfort.
- Conduct follow-up appointments to fine-tune hearing aids, make necessary adjustments, and address any concerns or issues.
- Offer counselling and support to patients and their families to help them adapt to their hearing aids and manage their hearing loss effectively.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay up to date with advancements in audiology and hearing aid technology through continuing education and professional development.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as otolaryngologists and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive hearing care services.
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities to raise awareness about hearing healthcare and the services offered by the company.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a master’s degree in Hearing Aid Audiology or a related field.
- Valid certification as an Audiologist/Hearing Aid Dispenser.
- At least 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Thorough knowledge of hearing assessment techniques, hearing aid technology, and assistive listening devices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in using audiometric equipment and software for hearing evaluations and programming hearing aids.
- High level of professionalism, empathy, and sensitivity when dealing with patients experiencing hearing loss.
- Patient-focused mindset, with a commitment to providing exceptional care and improving patients' quality of life.
Salary and Benefits
