Bird & Blend was set up & is run by Krisi & Mike, who met whilst studying Politics at university, and has grown from packing tea in their bedroom to multiple retail stores and a thriving international online store.

About This Role

As a Store Manager, you are the key to engaging with customers, listening to their needs, and guiding them to the right products.

With your passionate and focused leadership, you will inspire and develop your team to create memorable and inclusive customer experiences, driving the store's overall success.

You will handle budgeting, plan marketing strategies, and build the store's customer base, coordinating the daily activities of your team and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a full‑time role (40hr per week), which includes weekends and some evenings, operating an on‑site working pattern, on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure every visitor has an exceptional Bird & Blend Tea experience and foster a customer‑focused culture.
• Become an expert on Bird & Blend products and values and handle escalated customer queries promptly.
• Drive your team to meet sales targets and KPIs, implementing sales strategies to boost sales and customer experience.
• Lead, motivate and support your team to achieve individual and collective goals, providing feedback and coaching.
• Recruit, induct, train, and develop a high‑performing team.
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures and staff rotas.
• Maintain high visual merchandising standards.
• Support B&B's sustainability and impact goals as a B‑Corp.
• Manage stock efficiently, including stock takes.
• Lead and host store and local events, and lead sampling activity in and outside the store.
• Build relationships within the local community to increase footfall.

About You

• At least 2 years' previous experience in a management role within a customer service environment.
• Proud brand ambassador who embodies the company's values.
• Proven track record of effective selling skills and driving commercial outcomes.
• Exceptional at leading, motivating and supporting a team.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and visual merchandising skills.
• Genuine passion for the product and confidence to share it with customers and the team.
• Experience managing employee relations cases effectively.
• Flexible availability, as shifts may vary weekly.
