Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC). This is a fully on-site position based in Herefordshire.
We are supporting an innovative engineering organisation delivering advanced technology solutions for highly sensitive programmes within the defence and aerospace sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking Mechanical Engineers to join a multidisciplinary team working on the development of next-generation unmanned and autonomous systems. You may have a background in either manufacturing or product development.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development and delivery of complex mechanical systems within a fast-paced engineering environment. Working closely with systems, electronics and software teams, you will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development and detailed design through to testing, integration and production support.
Key Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years Mechanical design and development of complex products or systems
- 3D CAD modelling (Solidworks) and engineering drawing creation
- Product development from concept through to manufacture
- Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA)
- Material selection, tolerance analysis and mechanical integration
- Prototype development, testing and validation activities
- Experience working within regulated, safety-critical or high-reliability environments
- Must be eligible to obtain UK SC clearance. (UK Citizen or 5+ years UK residency)
