Job Information
Location: Bath, South West England, United Kingdom (remote or office based, preference Bristol, UK or Málaga, Spain).
Contract: Full-time, 5 days, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 GBP (or €40,000 – €55,000 EUR) plus performance bonus scheme.

Artelier is a leading international Art Consultancy based in the UK and Spain, working on iconic public art, private residences, yachts, aviation, corporate and hotel projects.
Senior Art Consultant & Project Manager required with at least 10 years of experience in art consultancy, design, and project management of major international projects.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience researching, curating, designing, and managing FF&E and art for international commercial, hospitality, and private projects (excludes galleries and museums).
- University degree in project management, architecture, interior design or a related art discipline.
Highly Desirable Criteria
- Track record of delivering large‑scale, complex international design projects.
- Experience managing budgets over £1m.
- Knowledge of international shipping, imports/exports, and overseas logistics.
- Team leadership and ability to inspire a team of 5 or more.
- Strong client relations and project relationship management.
- Supplier management experience, especially with artists and galleries.
- Proficiency in project management software, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and AutoCAD.
- Portfolio of design work and curation for projects, including concept presentations and detailed design documentation.
- Passion for modern and contemporary art.
Key Responsibilities
Art Research & Curation
- Research artists, contemporary art, craft and design, including materiality.
- Lead cutting‑edge art curation aligned with industry developments.
- Develop sophisticated, contextually relevant art concept presentations and schematic design mark‑ups.
- Prepare detailed design documents with specifications, procurement details and supplier information.
- Coordinate with suppliers to establish stock, commissioning and sampling.
- Attend project sites to curate pieces and sign off final presentation.
- Maintain understanding of artistic processes, materials, and production methods.
- Source suitable suppliers for artwork production, framing and installation.
- Review DD documents and verify artwork specifications.
- Manage orders, contracts and commissioning process with artists.
- Collaborate with artists to resolve technical or aesthetic issues.
- Oversee artwork inspections at studio and storage facilities, escalating to Director as needed.
Project Management & Delivery
- Manage project timelines, track artwork orders, provide regular reports to Director.
- Liaise with clients for updates: schedules, sampling, progress, and completion.
- Supervise and support project assistants and art technicians.
- Prepare and manage budgets; obtain quotes, place orders, track payments; present financial summary.
- Track client payments and liaise with Director to ensure cash flow.
- Coordinate shipping partners for complex international shipments; prepare export documentation.
- Manage logistics at delivery stage and coordinate installation teams onsite.
- Develop and maintain relationships with trusted logistics and shipping partners.
- Oversee onsite installation of international projects.
General
As a small company, you may also handle day‑to‑day administrative tasks, client‑facing interactions, and travel to suppliers, clients and project sites.
