The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Post-Part 3 qualified Architect or experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in both the design and delivery of projects, working closely with clients, consultants, and our in-house build team. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable developing creative design proposals and producing detailed technical information, with a strong interest in sustainable construction methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support projects through all RIBA stages, from concept to completion
- Develop innovative, design-led architectural solutions
- Produce high-quality drawings, models, and technical packages
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients
- Contribute to planning applications and building regulations submissions
- Support project delivery on site, including contract administration where appropriate
- Integrate sustainable design principles and low-carbon strategies into all stages of work
Requirements
For Architects (Post-Part 3):
- ARB registered Architect (UK)
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical ability
- Significant UK practice experience in a similar role
- Excellent technical knowledge and detailing skills
For All Applicants:
- Proficiency in Vectorworks (SketchUp desirable)
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and planning processes
- Experience in sustainable design and construction
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
- A proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail
- Experience in design-and-build or working closely with contractors
- Knowledge of low-energy building standards
- Experience with natural materials and sustainable construction methods
