Artel31 are a long-established architect-led construction business with over 40 years of history and we are seeking a part-time Finance Manager to replace a long-standing team member of nearly 15 years. This is a key, trusted role reporting directly to the Directors. We are looking for someone who wants a long-term position, values flexibility, and takes pride in being a reliable part of a close-knit team. This is a hands-on, sole-charge accountancy and bookkeeping role. 22.5–30 hours per week (flexible, with potential to increase for the right person). Office-based role with some home-working possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit control, invoicing, and expense processing
- CIS verification, deductions, monthly returns & statements
- VAT returns (including Construction Domestic Reverse Charge)
- Payroll coordination with external bureau & pension uploads
- Cashflow forecasting and monthly management reporting
About You
- Proven experience in a hands-on accounts or bookkeeping role
- Strong working knowledge of VAT and CIS (construction experience desirable)
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience
- Accurate, organised, and able to work independently
- Trustworthy, reliable, and seeking stability
