Role Overview
The Health Care Assistant at Artek will provide compassionate and professional care to individuals, supporting their health, independence, and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living needs, promoting dignity and respect, and ensuring that the highest standards of care are delivered in line with Artek UK’s values.
Key Responsibilities
Assist service users with personal care, mobility, and day-to-day activities.
Support with meals, hydration, and medication (under appropriate supervision).
Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals.
Promote independence and encourage engagement in meaningful activities.
Monitor and report changes in health or behaviour to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
Follow safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety procedures.
Work collaboratively with nurses, colleagues, and external healthcare professionals.
Respond effectively and calmly in emergency situations.
Respect confidentiality and always maintain professional boundaries.

Qualifications
Minimum GCSEs / High School Diploma or equivalent (essential).
NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (preferred).
Previous experience in a Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, or similar role (advantageous).
First Aid and Basic Life Support training (preferred).
