Role Overview
The Health Care Assistant at Artek will provide compassionate and professional care to individuals, supporting their health, independence, and well-being.
This role involves assisting with daily living needs, promoting dignity and respect, and ensuring that the highest standards of care are delivered in line with Artek UK’s values.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist service users with personal care, mobility, and day-to-day activities.
- Support with meals, hydration, and medication (under appropriate supervision).
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals.
- Promote independence and encourage engagement in meaningful activities.
- Monitor and report changes in health or behaviour to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Follow safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, colleagues, and external healthcare professionals.
- Respond effectively and calmly in emergency situations.
- Respect confidentiality and always maintain professional boundaries.
