  • Job Summary

The Care Assistant will provide high‑quality personal care and support to individuals, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and dignified living environment.

The role involves assisting with daily activities, monitoring wellbeing, and contributing to the overall physical and emotional comfort of clients in their own homes or in a care setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist service users with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
  • Support mobility, moving, and handling, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
  • Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring adequate hydration.
  • Monitor and record service users’ overall well‑being and any changes in condition, reporting to senior staff.
  • Undertake light domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a pleasant environment.
  • Assist in the administration of medication, following strict protocols and under supervision.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Accompany service users on outings or to appointments as required.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential care records in line with company policy.
  • Uphold the dignity, rights, and independence of all service users at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A relevant care qualification (e. g., NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care) is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a care role (residential home, nursing home, or community setting) is advantageous.
  • Freshers with a genuine passion for care and a willingness to learn are strongly encouraged to apply.
