About The SEO Team
20+ strong SEO team based in London and Cornwall, UK. We are a close-knit team who work hard but also have a lot of fun. Although we have a hierarchy we like to operate in an open and inclusive way. No idea or question is a bad one - if you want to see change then be the change and if you want to make something happen, just say!
The team is made up of SEO generalists, technical SEO experts, SEO content writers and Digital PR specialists. We have great collaboration between our main London office and satellite Cornwall office. Last year we went on a trip to Cornwall together - we surfed, walked and had fun. These trips aren’t mandatory so if they’re not for you that’s ok too!
We work with clients across automotive, luxury fashion, travel, charity, technology sectors and more! The DEI team at Artefact is led by two members of the SEO team - DEI is very important to us.

Main Responsibilities
- Supporting the Content Director and Manager in maintaining the day-to-day client relationship and the delivery of SEO campaigns for your clients.
- You will be responsible for managing individual work streams on larger accounts and the whole account for smaller clients.
- Work with the Account Managers, Senior Account Managers and Account Directors to develop a business growth plan for your clients, ensuring year on year growth and a strategy plan for existing business that meets client needs.
- Partner with your clients to drive the strategy towards achieving their business goals and targets.
- Ensure delivery against the agreed business growth and strategy plan.
- Present at monthly business reviews for each of your clients.
- Monitor campaign performance, timelines and report on these regularly to the account director and the client.
- Creating content briefs that are focussed on achieving desired outcomes, supporting Juniors in creating content that meets the brief, proofreading and delivering to the client.
- Uploading content to the client’s CMS.
- Creating content calendars and dynamically adapting your plans to leverage emerging search trends.
- Optimising existing and new content to meet search demand and making use of all available techniques to gain visibility across existing and emerging search engine result page features.
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships so that they trust and value your opinions.
- Give good strategic advice to clients based upon previous experience.
- Manage and work collaboratively with cross channel teams to ensure the best result for your clients.
- Forge a strong understanding of the client’s products and services.
- Provide detailed insight for client reporting.
Essential Skills and Experience
- 3-4+ years experience in SEO in a digital marketing environment.
- Comprehensive understanding and passion for digital marketing and SEO.
- Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent writing and grammar skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct research and present back findings coherently.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-moving environment.
- Initiative and self-motivation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Detailed understanding of, and a passion for, content marketing (onsite editorial strategy, digital PR, or influencer marketing). Record of applying this knowledge to achieve results for clients.
- Strong client management skills with the proven ability to add value to clients.
- Experience with SEO tools like or similar to: seoClarity, Screaming Frog, aHREFs, Keyword Planner, Answer the Public and Google Trends.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google and Bing Search Console and SEO performance measurement using these tools.
Desirable
- Experience of using G-Suite.
