There is a brand new opportunity for a Private Client Fee Earner / Paralegal to manage their own caseload, assist on complex matters, and actively contribute to business development initiatives all within a hybrid, flexible working model.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a capable and motivated fee earner to join a leading Private Client team. This is an ideal role for someone with 2+ years of hands-on experience in Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, and LPA matters, who can run files independently while working closely with senior team members on more complex issues. This role offers excellent development potential and is suited to individuals who are keen to build relationships, grow their technical skills, and thrive in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a caseload of private client files
  • Advise on Wills, Estate Planning, Trusts, and LPAs
  • Administer both taxable and non-taxable estates, including applying appropriate tax reliefs
  • Assist with the creation and registration of Trusts (including PI Compensation Trusts)
  • Liaise with clients, third parties, and internal stakeholders professionally and empathetically
  • Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives
  • Maintain accurate time recording and compliance standards

Essential

  • Previous experience managing a private client caseload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent knowledge of non-contentious Private Client law
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Accurate and consistent time recording
  • A client-focused, proactive attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience with complex tax and trust matters
  • CILEX qualification or working towards it

Hybrid Working

This position is based in either the Bristol or Cardiff office, with a flexible hybrid setup typically 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. Full IT equipment will be provided.
