Job Description
The Vendor Risk Management Senior Analyst is an integral part of Latham & Watkins’ Global Procurement team. This role will lead the assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risks associated with vendor relationships, and conduct due diligence on new and existing vendors to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, develop risk profiles, and categorize vendors based on risk levels.
Other Key Responsibilities
- Oversee vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements, and prepare detailed reports and dashboards communicating risk findings to senior management.
- Assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure robust risk management practices.
- Evaluate vendor performance metrics and reports to assess service quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance, and provide strategic recommendations for improvement and cost‑saving opportunities.
- Coordinate and lead vendor audits to evaluate compliance with company policies and industry standards, document findings, and ensure follow‑up on corrective actions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of vendor risk management policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Required Profile
- Demonstrated advanced analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Ability to lead within a team environment with a strong customer‑service focus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management.
Additional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Professional certification or extended education in a related field.
- Experience in vendor risk management, compliance, or a related role.
- Experience at a professional services firm or Fortune 500 company.
