Who We Are

James Drake is an entrepreneur, a patron of the arts, and lifelong creative thinker. He has published books that blend science and literature, curated letters from figures like Churchill and others from great scientists and musicians, and is currently coauthoring a book about the cultural legacy of the Rue de Seine in Paris. You can learn more about James at www.jamesdrake.com.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a creative writer for collaborative literary projects – a curious, culturally literate individual who would love to sit down once a week with James to brainstorm and co-create small, meaningful projects. Think of it as a modern-day salon: a place for ideas to flourish, for letters to be written, books to be dreamed up, and creative energy to flow freely.

This is not a full-time job. It’s an opportunity. An exchange of ideas. A mentorship, and a partnership. You might help:

  • Co-curate or write a new limited-edition book
  • Explore historical archives and cultural themes
  • Develop creative projects at the intersection of art, letters, and memory
  • Be part of something beautiful and unusual that may never go public—but will mean something lasting

You Might Be

  • A writer, artist, or researcher with a deep interest in art history, literature, or music
  • A creative generalist who loves books, culture, and working on non-commercial passion projects
  • Someone who dreams of building timeless things and values mentorship, depth, and originality
  • Familiar with or fascinated by figures like Proust, Freud, or the world of Montparnasse
  • Comfortable with eccentric brilliance, boundless energy, and intellectual play
