The Role
Norwich office / Hybrid
We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our amazing and growing R&D department. As a senior Automation Engineer, your primary focus will be on owning and managing the test infrastructure, maintaining a robust automation framework and making architectural decisions around automation tooling.
Key focus areas:
- Responsible for designing and writing automation tests and taking ownership of the CI/CD tools and processes in your team.
- Backend and integration testing is the priority, with a focus on BE/integration.
- Define and design scalable automated solutions to technology challenges, act as a strategic automation partner of our engineering teams and provide scalability by creating new automation frameworks and tools.
- Work with the R&D group in Agile teams as an integrated part of the development process.
- Responsible for the system alerts and monitoring.
- Your responsibilities will include assessing our automation quality, stability, pushing for improvement and implementation.
Requirements
Who we’re looking for:
- A developer-minded engineer with a strong approach to testing and automation.
- Think less 'tester who learned to code' and more 'developer who deeply understands quality and automation strategy'.
- Born to automate routine activities and passionate about technology.
- Proven strong experience as an automation developer for a complex product.
- Experience with testing frameworks (Playwright is an advantage).
- A self-learner, able to accumulate system vision while understanding the architecture of our products through training and self-exploration.
- Experience with API and UI automated test development.
- Experience with CI/CD, preferably GitLab.
- Team player, with a high ability to work independently.
