Our collaborations with artists have developed over the past 30 years, leading to a range of products which, in addition to card images, includes a selection of die-cut and 3D cards, notecards, wrapping papers, calendars, advent calendars and garlands. Art Angels is a regular supplier to leading museums and galleries, as well as bookshops and design led craft shops throughout the UK and overseas. Job Summary: We are seeking a genuinely creative Product Designer to join our company. The successful candidate will have an understanding and experience of paper product design, a love of contemporary art and printmaking, and a passion for creating innovative stationery products. They will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and developing greeting cards and related paper products which align with our distinctive and innovative company aesthetic. Key responsibilities: Develop and design innovative greeting cards and stationery products, which include die-cutting and 3D elements. Work with artists to adapt and translate artwork into commercially viable products. Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and align with cost and material constraints and manufacturing capabilities. Prepare print-ready artwork and oversee each stage of production to finished product. Research new artists with the potential to design for specific projects. Required skills: Wide ranging appreciation of contemporary art and printmaking, with particular reference to the Art Angels core range of products. Familiarity with Art Angels current artists, and their work. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), image manipulation, layout, etc. Ability to sketch, illustrate, and conceptualise product design ideas. The vision to create 3D products from both existing and commissioned artwork. The ability to communicate creatively with current and future artists. Have experience of social media marketing, together with the ability to create new product ‘lifestyle’ shots for use in promotions and website. Show experience of working closely with print production companies.
