The Role
We are looking for aSenior Venue Initiatives Manager to play a crucial role within our Ticketing and Venue Strategy team.
In this exciting role, you’ll oversee strategic, tactical, commercial and operational initiatives that will drive our Venue department forward. You will play a key role in implementing positive changes to the supporter experience, ensuring the ticketing experience is best-in-class for supporters on our club’s online platforms, whilst maximising the department’s commercial opportunity.
Partnering with our Head of Ticketing, you will contribute to our Venue and Ticketing strategy, providing project management leadership across the department, working with teams across Venue as well as colleagues across our club.

Your day-to-day
- Play a critical role in the implementation of ourTicketing strategy – you’ll take pride in being akey contributor to our club’s Ticketing strategy across Women’s and Men’sfootball, collaborating withour Head of Ticketing and acting asproject lead for a multitude of strategic Venue projects to ensure timely and positive delivery
- Lead and inspire a team – you will take pride in leading, mentoring and coaching a team and identifying learning and development opportunities, fostering a high-performance culture, celebrating success and managing performance effectively
- Collaborate with internal colleagues and external stakeholders – you will be an intermediary between various stakeholder groups to facilitate successful collaboration and effective outcomes
- Provide crucial insights and analysis – you’ll uncover and provide vital insights and analysis for wider business updates to inform strategic decisions
- Evolve and enhance our processes – you will partner with our Senior Ticketing Manager to plan and execute process enhancements to the ticketing operation to deliver our strategy, ensuring robust processes are in place for the optimal delivery of all ticketing and hospitality services to supporters while minimising the risk of potential abuse of such services by bad actors
- Drive initiatives to elevate customer satisfaction – you’ll relish the opportunity to enhance the visitor journey and deliver a seamless experience across all touchpoints
- Uphold relationships with key ticketing partners – you will diligently oversee the day-to-day relationship with our ticketing partners to ensure the smooth delivery of ticketing services to supporters
- Oversee the delivery of sales cycles – you’ll work with colleagues to oversee the planning and delivery ofall ticketing tasks required to successfully deliver the annual season ticket and membership renewal and new sales cycles
- Monitor requirement mapping – you will team up with our Venue Product Managerto ensure requirement mapping for prioritised functionality is completed by the relevant deadlines and that all developed functionality is introduced in a smooth and timely manner
What we are looking for
- Proven track record in a senior level ticketing role – you’re equipped with excellent experience in ticketing management and well versed in the nuances and complexities of applying your expertise in a fast paced environment
- Extensive experience of ticketing in sport – you come with a history of working in a high-volume ticketing environment within professional sport and you back your exceptional industry knowledge when it comes to sport and ticketing
- Inspiring and trusted leader – you’re proud of your ability to line-manage teams and create a cohesive and positive culture
- Data-first mindset – you’ve previously worked with complex data sets and structures and are able to extract insights that can feed into strategic decisions
- Forward thinking approach – you’ve got experience of implementing significant system development and process change in a ticketing environment and you’ve previously assisted withsystem implementation and testing
- Best-in-class communication and presentation skills – you’re easily able to build impactful relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver significant system and process improvements and you cancapture and distil complex concepts in a logical and clear manner
- Organised and adaptable attitude – you can confidently manage a range of activities and projects concurrently and you’re able to react quickly to changing conditions and reassess priorities as needed
- Excellent IT and systems knowledge – you have a working knowledge of all Microsoft applications and ideally some familiarity using the Ticketmaster ticketing and the Fortress access control systems
