The Role
We are looking for a Senior Creative to join us and play a vital role within our club\’s Creative Studio, collaborating with the breadth of our creative talent and helping us to continue to push the boundaries of what an in-house studio can achieve.
In this exciting position, you\’ll apply your creativeexpertise across a variety of projects, creating and shaping our brand and partner campaigns to deliver work that deepens our connection with our millions of supporters around the world. Our Creative Studio is an ambitious in‑house team, witha collaborative style of working that allows us to scale up and down (with freelancers, agencies and production partners) based on our needs.
You will be central to the continued evolution of the department, helping to deliver new ways of working with our various teams and partners, and keeping us up to date with the wider creative industry (especially outside of football).

Your day-to-day
- Deliver bold and innovative ideas– you\’ll relish the opportunity to deliver big ideas that push creative boundaries for our Brand, Retail, Venue and Partnerships marketing projects
 - Uphold a highly collaborative approach– you will take pride in managing and mentoring creative teams, as well as freelance specialists, to foster a happy, motivated and collaborative creative environment that delivers industry-leading work
 - Oversee our creative strategy – you\’ll unite with our Creative Studio Lead to shape and develop our creative strategy, working with agency partners to scale our point of view across projects that we\’re not directly producing
 - Create work that resonates and is authentic to our brand– you will tap into your ability to convert effective insight-led strategic thinking, into simple, distinct, truthful and relevant ideas for our supporters and partners
 - Champion feedback – you\’ll deliver feedback in a precise, constructive and timely way, encouraging junior colleagues, agencies and freelancers to find the answers and develop under your guidance
 - Support the evolution of our Studio – you\’ll keep our Creative Studio up to date with key trends in the advertising and creative industries, continually pushing us above and beyond what we have achieved in the past
 - Collaborate with colleagues across our club – you will eagerly partner with wider Marketing teams and beyond, collaborating with those that are less aware of the creative process to take them on the journey with you
 
What we are looking for
- Extensive creative background– you\’ve got experience as a Senior Creative, Associate Creative Director or Creative Director, with a portfolio of work that shows your ability to mould in-depth strategic thinking into compelling and original creative ideas, and you come with a history of developing ideas outside of traditional media channels, with the ability to extend a big idea into a 360 campaign
 - Dedication to your craft– you\’ve shown an outstanding commitment to honing your skills and expertise in either copywriting or art direction, possessing a solid understanding of the full creative mix
 - Grasp of football culture– you\’re equipped with a core understanding of football culture and the language around our game (direct experience working in football or sport is not essential)
 - Exceptional stakeholder management skills– you have a track record of building and upholding relationships with multiple senior stakeholders, supporting them in the story they are trying to tell, whilst also being confident in challenging them on new ways to communicate our messages and meet our commercial objectives
 - Passionate and inspiring leader– you thrive when you\’re managing both permanent and freelance creative teams and specialists, passionately motivating those around you and striving to get the best out of people
 - Vast industry knowledge– you demonstrate a deep knowledge of the creative industry and the practitioners within it, and you have a clear point of view on the impact of creative and how excellent work can deliver both on an emotional and commercial level
 - Best-in-class communicator– you\’re able to establish and maintain impactful relationships with a wide range of colleagues, and you lean on your effective presentation skills to inspire stakeholders with the brilliant ideas you and your team develop
 - Proud ambassador for our club– you are a positive and driven individual who has the drive and desire to move us forward, with a clear view on our creative strategy, and you have a keen eye for detail and are able to act as a guardian of our brand tone of voice and guidelines
