The Role

We are looking for a Positional Analyst to join our Football Intelligence team and support the evolution of our player assessment processes as part of our long-term strategic objectives. In this exciting role, you’ll take ownership of positional analysis workflows and play an important role in identifying, assessing and monitoring emerging and senior talent across global markets. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across analysis and recruitment functions, combining video, live and data-driven insights to support key football decisions and future planning.

Your day-to-day

  • Lead positional talent identification processes – you will play a key role in delivering a best-in-class global talent identification and evaluation process for your assigned positional group.
  • Champion the use of technology and analysis tools – you’ll utilise video, software and scouting platforms to identify, analyse and manage prospective player targets.
  • Deliver high-quality player assessments – you will proactively analyse potential recruits through video review, live match attendance and detailed due diligence within our football framework.
  • Support strategic football decisions – you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Football Intelligence and development analysis to provide valuable insight that supports recruitment and succession planning.
  • Build collaborative relationships – you will partner with colleagues across departments and our wider global network to encourage integration, innovation and information sharing.
  • Represent our club externally – you’ll attend matches, meetings and benchmarking visits with other elite sporting organisations where appropriate.
  • Manage priorities effectively – you will develop a clear and organised time-management approach to manage multiple workstreams within a fast-paced environment.
  • Drive continuous learning and development – you’ll actively seek opportunities to grow your expertise while supporting, motivating and challenging colleagues across the team.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience within football analysis or player recruitment – you come with experience working within an elite football environment, ideally across player identification or assessment.
  • Outstanding knowledge of global player markets – you’re proud of your understanding of senior and emerging talent across domestic and international football.
  • Excellent analytical skills – you possess the ability to combine video, live and contextual insights to support balanced and informed player evaluation.
  • Confidence using technology and scouting platforms – you’re comfortable working with a range of software and tools to support analysis, reporting and workflow management.
  • Exceptional communication skills – you can clearly present and communicate insights to a variety of colleagues and stakeholders across our club.
