The Role
We are looking for aRehabilitation Physiotherapiston a one yearfixed term basisto cover maternity leave.
This important role willsupport with Arsenal Women’s First Team medical performance and oversee the rehabilitation and return to play of injured players. It will alsosupport the Medical Performance Lead in all aspects of Sports Medicine to improve sporting performance.

Your day-to-day
- Lead the design, implementation and progression of rehabilitation programmes – you will be responsible for guiding players through evidence-based, player-centred rehab plans that ensure safe and efficient return to training and competition
- Collaborate across disciplines – you’ll work closely with doctors, S&C coaches, analysts, and other specialists to create cohesive return-to-play strategies grounded in best practice and individual player needs
- Data analysis – you’ll collect and retrospectively analyse data to identify trends and possible contributory injury factors
- Record management – you will maintain detailed records for the department of all Sports Medicine and Performance actions in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Performance evaluation – you’ll create and implement systems and methodologies to evaluate the success of the department in relation to the vision, mission and the four pillars of Arsenal Women Football Club
- Act as a trusted ambassador for our club – you willdiligently maintain our child protection, health, safety and equal opportunity procedures and you\’ll conduct yourself with the utmost discretion with regards to the confidential nature of our club operations
What we are looking for
- Qualified specialist – you’ll have MSc in Physiotherapy, be a registered chartered physiotherapist and a member of the Health and Care Professions Council
- Expert rehabilitation clinician – you’re a qualified physiotherapist (MSc) and HCPC-registered, with a strong grounding in contemporary rehab science and its practical application in elite sport
- Track record in elite football – you bring proven experience working with high-performance athletes, ideally within a first-team football environment, managing the full spectrum of rehab from acute injury through to return-to-play
- FA Female Health Lead Certification – you will be required to complete thecertificationfor this position
- First aid qualification – you’ll have a current FA AREA, ATMMiF or equivalent qualification
- Excellent communicator – you\’re able to communicate complex information in a simple and understandable way
- Flexible and adaptable mindset – you come with exceptional prioritisation skills and are able to respond to the demands of elite football
